Herbert H. Bentz, 83, of Billings, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the RiverStone Hospice Home.

He was born in Circle, to August Sr. and Laura Mohr Bentz on Feb. 11, 1929. He graduated from Billings Senior High School and went on to work for many years at the Conoco Refinery.

Herb was married in the fall of 1950 to Ruby Zuelch. They spent almost 62 years together. Herb spent several years in the United States Army in the 1950s.

Herb enjoyed reading, was a sports fan and liked to travel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister, along with other relatives.

Herb is survived by his wife Ruby; son Terry (Jill); grandson Trenton; sisters Nora (Herman) and Nancy; brother August Jr. (Patsy); and many nieces and nephews.

Our family wishes to thank all of Herb's caregivers during his time of illness for the wonderful care given to him.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned, per Herb's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to RiverStone Hospice Home, 2230 Mission Way, Billings, MT 59102 or a charity of your choice.
